Rhiannon… The Story 💖

As you may (or may not!) know, the Rhiannon jumper has been a massive sell-out style for the brand. Since launching last year, we honestly couldn’t keep it in stock, it flew off the shelves every time and it’s officially become my best-selling style of all time!

When it finally sold out again a little while ago, I figured that was it. On to the next design, right?

But then, the DMs kept rolling in. So many of you lovely Skybabes were still asking for Rhiannon – again and again – and honestly, how could I ignore that?! So I thought, why not bring her back in?

That’s when disaster struck 💔

When I went to place the re-order, I was told the yarn mill had discontinued the green yarn colourway and they’re not planning to bring it back. Like, ever. I was honestly gutted. This wasn’t just any green, it was the green, the one that made Rhiannon so special.

I did what I could. I looked at every other green yarn available, even considered releasing Rhiannon in a completely new colourway… but nothing felt quite right. And in my heart of hearts, I knew my Skybabes want this Rhiannon. The pink and green beauty you originally fell in love with. And to be honest, so do I.

SO! After many (many!) chats with my yarn mill and factories, I’ve found a way to make it happen. I can do a special production run of the exact yarn a custom order made just for us.

But here's the thing…

In order to do this, I need to buy a lot and I mean a serious amount of this discontinued green yarn. I’m more than happy to go for it, but I need to know the demand is really there.

That’s why Rhiannon is now on Pre-Order.

To make this comeback work, I need to hit around 250 orders of the Rhiannon jumper. That’s the magic number that unlocks a full yarn production run.

In case you didn’t know, every single piece from Cara & The Sky is designed and made right here in Britain. From the first sketch to the final stitch, everything happens locally, supporting UK manufacturers, reducing our carbon footprint, and helping to keep traditional knitting skills alive 🧶✨

That’s something I’m super proud of but it also means that re-running a style like Rhiannon is a much bigger commitment. Every jumper is made with love, care, and a whole lot of heart not churned out in a big overseas factory. Which makes this comeback even more special 💗

I’m not 100% sure how long it’ll take to hit that it might be a few weeks, maybe a couple of months but I’ll be here keeping you updated every step of the way.
